On Saturday January 23rd, the C-FC Jr. High Robotics Club participated in the Greater Western Wisconsin VEX IQ Challenge in Whitehall, Wisconsin. All teams present competed in the Teamwork Challenge as an alliance working collaboratively to score points and in the Robot Skills Challenge where one robot takes the field to score as many points as possible. These matches consist of Driving Skills Matches, which will be entirely driver controlled, and Programming Skills Matches.
The C-FC Pirate Bots team earned 1st place honors in the Driving Skills Match. Team members include: Rylee Cooke, Hunter Earney, Ariel Hanson, Stevie Meyer and are coached by Brian Holt. By earning 1st place the team qualified for the State competition held in Appleton, Wisconsin. This event takes place the weekend of March 13-14. The C-FC Robotics Club has qualified for the State Meet the last 4 years.
