Giving back was important to Laura. The only requirement is that you must be a contributor by having given of your time or talents in some way to school and the community. Please give us an introduction by writing a paragraph about yourself HERE.
|
Other Information: |
Laura passed away suddenly in 2023 and both her family and community wanted a way to commemorate her legacy as a community contributor.
She was full of ideas and never afraid to take a risk and try something new! She was instrumental in several very successful years of Fountain City Day-Art in the Park and Stuff the Bus along with working countless activities at school such as the Free PTO Family Movie Nights, Soup & Pie, and working concessions for whatever Pirate sporting event needed her.
Her true passion was being a founder of the CFC PTO Holiday Craft Fair, held each December at school. Her time and talents helped contribute funds to two major playground renovations, new school signage inside and outside of the building, the Scholastic Book Fair and free books for classrooms and students, monetary assistance with field trips and deferred costs of traveling to competitions for many school groups.
She helped pull together and host everything from the Wizards Basketball Team to the RAD Zoo at school. PTO has also paid for the annual Spelling Bee and Laura volunteered as a local judge.
Her reach was far, her legacy long lasting. Help us remember her in the best way we can. Giving back. |
